Student Council
Advisor: Mrs. MacCollum

The 2008-2009 Student Council year begins with the election of officers in November. This process begins with an informational meeting which will be held in mid-October. Once elections are complete, officers will meet to brainstorm ideas/activies for the middle school student body. They will begin by kicking off the Salvation Army Food Drive (about November 4th) to help make the holiday season a little brighter for those in need.

The four student council positions and their responsibilites are as follows:

President
- Assumes the leadership and direction of the Lyncourt student body by prividing a positive role model in academic and social settings.
- Works to fulfill the purpose of student government in planning and organizing activities and projects that will foster the social growth and development of the Lyncourt student body.
- Becomes an approachable leader to whom members of the Lyncourt student council may address their concerns and issues.

 

Vice President
-
Works to fulfill the purpose of student government in planning and organizing activities and projects that will foster the social growth and development of the Lyncourt student body.
- Attends all Student Council meetings, activities, and functions, providing leadership for the other officrs.
- Assists the Student Council advisor in all areas when necessary and proper.
- Assists the Student Council president in all functions and duties.
- Performs the duties of the president in his/her absence.

Treasurer
- Works to fulfill the purpose of student government in planning and organizing activities and projects that will foster the social growth and development of the Lyncourt student body.
- Attends all Student council meetings, activities, and functions, providing leadership for the other officers.
- Assists the Student Council advisor in all areas when necessary and proper.
- Keeps a record of all financial transactions.

Secretary
- Works to fulfill the purpose of student government in planning and organizing activities and projects that will foster the social growth and development of the Lyncourt student body.
- Attends all Student council meetings, activities, and functions, providing leadership for the other officers.
