All classes from Kindergarten through
Grade 5 visit the library for one activity period every
week.
Students in Kindergarten are allowed to sign out one
book only.
Students in Grades 1-5 must sign out one fiction book
and one non-fiction book during their weekly library visit.
The library is open during study halls for students in
Grades 6-8. Students must obtain a pre-signed pass to
visit the library that day. Students are expected to have
a specific assignment to work on in the library
and may use the various print and non-print materials in
the library. Students may also sign out books at this time
as well.
Students in Grades 6-8 are allowed to sign out a maximum
of three items at one time.
The loan period for all items is one week.
Students may not sign out new materials until all previously
borrowed materials have been returned in good condition.
Overdue notices are sent to students in their homerooms
after borrowed books are one week overdue.
If an item has been lost or damaged, the student will
have to pay a fee to have the item replaced as per School
Board Policy.
The library is open after school until 3:15 pm on Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Thursdays, given there are no conflicts
for the use of the Library/Media Center. (ex: meetings,
etc.)
